Would you like to have a Ukulele with me?

Ukulele date with my man on a Tuesday morning because there was no whole day classes so yey! This ukulele café is called Uke Box Café located at E. Rodriguez Jr. Ave, Quezon City. We arrived there at exactly ten in the morning and we saw that they are still closed though the start of their opening hour is 9 in the morning. Medyo nakakahiya pa nung una kasi the waiter actually saw us checking out their café if it is open then in just a minute, ginawa na nilang Open yung entrance door nila. Haha. So there, nakapasok na kami. Ang ganda ng place. Talagang full of different ukuleles and all of their walls, chairs, and tables are made of wood and it has its wooden color. It is air-conditioned and the spaces are just right and not too tight.

The waiter lead us to our perfect spot to have a comfortable place to chill and relax and a perfect view to look at their amazing ukulele hanged on their wall. After a while hindi na namin alam gagawin kung lalapit ba kami to ask for their menu so we could order now kasi we were really hungry na that time but suddenly lumapit na rin yung waiter then binigyan niya kami ng menu. I ordered blended Green Tea Matcha and Iced Mocha for my man.

After it was served, I noticed that their Blended Green Tea Matcha’s icing is kind of solid yung itsura niya. I can’t explain it clearly pero basta parang ice cream yung dating ng icing niya? Haha. Anyway, sobrang sarap niya. I think it’s the best Matcha frappe that I have tasted for now. Tama lang ‘yung pagka-creamy niya and ‘yung icing? Uh-huh, THE best! And I took a sip of my man’s iced mocha, well, it’s just the typical iced mocha you’ll taste so nothing new about it. Haha. But our drinks are both delicious.

Now, we ordered for a food now. We ordered Ramen because Aaron was craving for it so…yeah. Medyo weird pero o sige na nga. Haha. Then we asked the waiter about the ukulele if their ukulele hanged in their wall is free to use or for rent. Actually is for rent but it is also for sale. So we just rent it for an hour and it costs 100 pesos.

Also, late kong napansin na may maliit silang stage play so anyone can perform and play ukulele on that stage. Sobrang nakakatuwa lang kasi it really is a music café. Small music café that could bring their passion in playing music and share it to everyone. It’s just inspiring and wonderful thing to see.

We took advantage of the ukulele we rented to cover a song titled Lullaby. He plays the ukulele and I sing. And we took a video of it. Hehe. If you wanna check out our video, here’s the link! J (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Can15qcFw4)
