Backyard Kitchen + Brew

After watching Legit Status concert that I still can’t get over from, my friends and I decided to go to UP Town Center. Well, we’re hungry of course. So at first, we didn’t know what restaurant should we try there but one of my friends suggested this one, Backyard Kitchen. It’s quite expensive pero keribells na rin para maka-try naman ng something new.

When I saw the menu, I was like “Whoa, teka lang gurl” kasi ang mamahal. Haha. But we have no choice, nasa loob na kami eh. So ayun, we just go with it. We all ordered Slow Roasted Pork Belly with mac and cheese and some of us are with rice kasi ayun lang ‘yung isa sa mga pinakamurang meals nila. Haha. This plate has slow roasted barbeque, of course, and then some red cabbage and papaya slaw, also has homemade rhum coke bbq sauce, and has a side of mac and cheese or rice of your own choice as it says on the menu. After the waiter got our orders, the waiting time is from 15 to 20 minutes. Waiting game it is. Hay.

Well, syempre, still can’t get over from the concert. My friends and I chat about it and other stuffs because our orders are super tagal. Kasi we’re so hungry na rin talaga. It was, I think 9:30 in the evening or past 10 o’clock na. Then in some minutes, our waiter told us that our slow roasted bbq was accidentally sliced up by their cook so he’s asking if it is okay with us. Syempre, kami sa tingin naman naming is we have no choice but to say it’s okay because we are really hungry. So in just a few minutes, finally, our orders arrived. Haha.

It was hot and really smells good when it was put on the table. My order is with mac and cheese. Ang sarap, fren. L Though the red cabbage and papaya slaw? I didn’t liked the taste of it. It has something weird in its taste so I didn’t ate all of it so I gave to one of my friends nalang para hindi sayang. But most of it was worth it.
