Dreams do come true if you believe in yourself and work hard
for it. Yep!
Most Filipino dancers always
dreaming about dancing on Araneta Coliseum’s stage. You are very lucky if you’ve
got that chance and share your passion to those the people who are watching you
dance off on that stage and show them what you’ve got. And coincidentally, I’m
one of those lucky dancers. Yay!

Dance Troupe, joined this competition – Smart
Jump In Dance Off 3 – goes through eliminations and finally got here at the
finals which happened in Araneta. It’s my very first outside school competition
and it was really unbelievable and uh-mazing.
But first, before that event happened,
midnight before the day itself we have our last rehearsal on the Araneta’s
stage. Midnight rehearsals are very frustrating and tiring – all of it. I want
to blame the event’s organizer of this because, uhh Hello?! Mga tao rin kami napapagod, mga dancers pa
man din kami na galling rin sa last training before we headed here so why did
you set up the dry run rehearsals on midnight time?! Tapos 6 o’clock in the
morning ‘yung call time namin. ARGH! We started at 1:00 A.M. na halos.
But, well, we have no choice and just thinking that they’re trying their best
too to have a really good production for the people. At mukhang mas wala silang tulog.
IT’S TIME. YAY. I cannot believe
this.
It was very frightening for me
because I don’t have that much confidence to show what I’ve got because of my
condition (asthma) and I feel weak. I have these thoughts that maybe I might
blacked out or out of oxygen or something bad that could happen to me while
performing or after. I’m scared that I might not survive in this competition.
But still, I believed in myself.
But then… I survived! Haha. But
also out of oxygen after we got off of the stage but got recovered naman.
It was such a blessing that night.
Though we didn’t won but I don’t care. It was such an honor to dance with my
fam. And SMART’s productions are really cool and amazing. Because they edit on
that day’s videos on the day itself and showed on screen and you can’t imagine
how they did it. Haha. But it was better last last year. But season 3 is great
because it was my first time to dance in Araneta Coliseum.
