First Time in Tokyo!

In every after two years, our whole family – which means it includes my cousins, titas and titos, lolo and lola – all from my father side, get to travel out of the country. This year, we choose Tokyo, Japan which is really exciting because it’s farther from our previous travel destinations and a bit colder weather! Hihi. And that’s also we spent our holy week.

We have arrived there Sunday (March 20) at noon and look for our tour guide. Her name is Mickey like Mickey Mouse as she said. Haha. So she guide us where our tour bus would be so they could take us to our hotel now and have some rest first before the tour starts tomorrow. Our hotel is in Shibuya, the famous street walk in Tokyo. Ang daming tao! Haha. It was so cool kasi if there are no people, sobrang luwang ng road nila. As in. And kahit maraming tao tapos nagsisitawiran sila, hindi sila nagkakabanggaan unlike dito sa Pilipinas. Haha.

When we arrived na, the best thing was magkakasama kami sa iisang room ng sister ko and ng pinsan kong babae kasi kami lang ‘yung mga girls sa magpipinsan sa father side. YAY! Tig-isa kami ng bed (buti nalang. Haha) and ayun! Nagsettle down muna. And then, we go outside of our hotel all together na para naman makita yung Shibuya street walk. Makiblend in rin syempre.

(Our view though from our room)

It was cold of course but we still go through with it. We go around to see where we should eat, somewhere and something familiar muna sa’min kasi syempre it’s our first time. Then, we saw Burger King. It’s kind of hard for us to order at first because I think most of the Japanese don’t know how to speak in English. But they know the English words of numbers. So when we ordered, tinuturo nalang naming yung gusto naming then tell which how many of that or those orders. It was a quite clear conversation naman so pweds na din.

After we ate, we still go around to familiarize the whole place. Shibuya is full of high-end brand clothing. Wala eh, mga yamanin mga tao dito. Our tour guide told us that their minimum wage in Tokyo, Japan is 100,000 yen. So… Okay. Huhu. Some stores though are tax free but we didn’t go and see inside of it. We just want to walk around so no shopping for that day. Hehe. And just after 30 minutes of walking, we decided to go back to our hotel kasi baka mamaya naliligaw na kami and we need to rest na rin because we are going to DisneySea the next day! Yay!
