DISNEY PRINCESSES ON HYPE 2016!

                In this hype finals year, the theme is Disney Princesses. Every hype finals, the competing teams should have their individual themes in their routine. So, of course, dito na pumapasok yung creativity and art na ginawa ng every teams. It is tricky and very challenging but really fun. Hype finals, it is very crucial and showbiz. As in. IT IS REALLY A HUGE DEAL for us UST Hip Hop dancers. Because Hype competition is the biggest hip hop dance competition here in the University of Santo Tomas and most Thomasians are really into it. Talagang inaabangan rin ‘to ng maraming tao kasi sikat talaga ‘yung competition na ‘to. Haha. And maybe because kaya siya sikat because sometimes the judges are really popular dance performers, too. Because here in Manila, there are so many popular and professional choreographers and/or dance performers that are invited to watch or to judge in big competitions like this one, Hype. So syempre panghatak rin ‘yun, fren. Hahaha. So anyway, this year, I wasn’t able to join with my dance troupe because of my personal problems (well, life. Haha). Pero syempre, I was todo support to my dance troupe. I watched them training often and post motivational quotes for them. So anyways, back to Hype finals. Haha.

                Hype has a collaboration with Smart Communication this time because last time it was Oppo. (Taray, diba?) And now, the venue was in the field because there has been a gossip na bawal na raw sa Plaza Mayor kasi guguho na raw siya kapag dun pa rin. I don’t know if it’s true but okay nalang.

                Sakto, when I got there with my best friend at 6 in the evening, nagsisimula na. I was amazed by the production because they shoot videos with every competing teams before the event started and it was already edited and pinakita na agad sa mga audience. The editing was cool and smooth. Talagang professional na ‘yung nag-edit.

                I wasn’t able to take a lot of pictures kasi sobrang tutok ako sa mga routine ng bawat teams. They were all amazing and really in character. There are dancers I have known for years and they’d stand out a lot. There are a lot who really improved. Ang galing! Haha.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to finish the event because of some school paper requirements that I have to finish also so I have to go home early but I have watched all of their performances.

But it was really fun and inspiring to watch all of their performances, really. I hope next year I could join again and dance off like that! Haha
