Dance studio is THE life for us dancers.
It is where we train and where we share our own ideas and insights about
dancing. It is where we learn more about dancing stuffs. It’s we’re we rehearse
before the big event of our lives. Though it’s kind of expensive when you rent
for an hour or more but it depends on what studio and where, but in this case,
it’s located at Kamuning Road, Quezon City and its price is between 300 to 400
pesos per hour (I forgot the exact amount) and luckily that we are always 16 to
18 members in a team so we could just divide it and contribute. It’s a good
experience and a better place to train for a dance competition and/or for a
dance workshop because nothing will distract you. It’s just you, your team,
your coach, and the music. Studio gives us an easier way to see our mistakes,
the wrong form of our body, and the wrong facial expressions to different
segments of the routine or music. It’s important for us to see this, of course,
so we can create a better vision for ourselves. It’s a classroom for us dancers
because our coach is, of course, our mentor and/or our teacher, too.
It’s funny that we can also make
fool around at the studio at some times because it’s all by ourselves. But
after that, it’s back to business. Too much fun is not always right for us..kasi
magtutuloy tuloy na ‘yung kasiyahan. Haha.
This studio is our backstage. Pain,
fatigue, tears, joy, excitement, and fears are all in there. This is where we put
everything that fears us before we go to that big stage and show what we’ve
got.
Some studios should have an
inspirational and motivational signs or quotes placed against the wall so the
dance performers would be motivated more and be better and dance through their
hearts as they passed and see that sign. Every studio should have that’s so people,
especially dancers, have a better experience and could actually take photos of
it and remembers it so they will really go back there and enjoy dancing to that place.
